you can't keep a good girl down

It's been a bit quiet here lately because I've got a new obsession - Scrapping! Scrapping is short/slang for scrapbooking (I think). I wanted to scrap initially because I was excited and all about the baby's arrival. So I wanted to make a scrapbook of the baby's ultrasound scans and future photos. YH kindly recommended me this shop at Plaza Singapura - Made With Love - and since then, I've been hooked.

Made With Love is a sugar-free candy store. Rows and rows of beautiful paper; shelves of cutesy decorations; and the tools! Man! I love the tools! There are gadgets for everything you want to do. I now have the following items:

A Paper Trimmer - to cut nice straight lines and crop photos


A Quickutz Squeeze - this gadget punches out alphabets used for titling, as well as cute shapes (but you must buy the different dies!)


And my toolkit!


I'm so happee... heh.

Here's a look at some of the things I've done so far..

Just this Wednesday, I attended a class at the store to learn the basics of scrapbooking. The class was so much fun! I learnt so much about design and basically what worked for a page and what didn't. The students got to work on their individual projects during class - here's what I did with our wedding photos:

This last one I did for Ad - it's basically about his strength as a man. I like this a lot.


I really like my new hobby. Sometimes, it's a struggle for me - I'm not really all that artistic, and I can't draw for nuts. I keep to the simplest layouts (less risky) and I do lots of cutting and pasting and very little that involves a pen. But there is something very therapeutic about sticking stuff on paper, and it's incredibly fun hammering holes and eyelets. I can't wait to start my next project. I need an idea! Does anybody have an idea?
